I have a blue and Khaki bassinet style bouncy seat.
I am not sure if the "bouncy"/ battery part works.
I was told it did not, but have never tried.
BUT....It is a nice safe spot for your baby to be when on the floor.

Hi!

(aug 25, 26)- grove city to ashville

we are moving our trailer from grove city to ashville.
I have been trying to do this myself, while my husband works, but it is proving impossible.

we have to be out of the trailer by tomorrow night , so they can move it wednesday.

I have been packing and packing, but I am not seeing the end... I could use some help from a patient and understanding person. our house is a mess and I am doing my best by myself. I still have the bathroom to do, the bedrooms are part done, and there is the rest of the stuff. uggh!!

I have food that I want to pack up to give to the church, but haven't gotten to that yet either..

we also need help taking down the awning from a few strong men. we have a trailer to put it on.
please call me as I am going back and forth with stuff...

I am in need of Privacy Fencing and we need it ASAP if we don't get it by tomorrow and up we will have to tear down our pool we have the 4 x 18 intex pool and the city said we need 48" fencing around it with a locked gate. Money is tight so we can't run out and buy some. My kids use this to cool off on hot days. Please if you can help let me know

You're all invited to have a fun time after 3rd service on Sunday, June 22nd. We're going to have some food, drinks, and there will be stations setup to help box up all the food we've received this weekend. Kids are welcome too!

We currently have THOUSANDS of food items in my company's warehouse that we collected on Saturday from the neighborhood food drives. That number is expected to double or triple after the weekend service! Go God!

A few things to remember:
1. Don't forget to bring your food donation to any of the 3 services this weekend.
2. If you come to the 3rd service, we're going to caravan to my company's warehouse promptly after that service.
3. If you come to the 1st or 2nd service, you are welcome to come directly to the warehouse from 1:30ish to 4pm.
4. We currently have 4 stations setup, 2 of which DO NOT require any heavy lifting.

Our Food Drive will climax this weekend with a major collection in a few neighborhoods and at the Grove City Vineyard. We expect to bring in well over 600 bags of groceries that weekend! I’ll order pizza for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday for all the volunteers who come help out! Email me at baghunger@brianstevenson.com with the shifts you can work. Also, if you know of other people who can help, talk them into helping too!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Saturday, June 21st:
10AM – Noon (5 volunteers to load/unload food)
Noon – 2PM (5 volunteers to load/unload food)
2PM – 4PM (5 volunteers to load/unload food)
4PM – 6PM (5 volunteers to load/unload food)

Neighborhood Food Drive Coordinators Needed

I'm looking for some people who can coordinate a small food drive in their neighborhood. Basically, you just pass out paper bags to your neighbors and let them know we're collecting food for the Mid-Ohio FoodBank. Most of my neighbors jumped at the opportunity to help! I wrote up some suggested steps here:

These directions were written with a BIG GROUP in mind, so you can simplify the steps if you're just going out alone. It's a simple as:
1. Get paper bags & flyers from Brian Stevenson
2. Pass out paper bags to neighbors
3. Collect the food few days later!

A good friend of mine had to (unexpectedly) leave town for awhile and left his dogs on his back porch, my family is feeding and walking them but the humane society isnt liking their porch home very much. They said that the pups just need some shelter, a dog house would be perfect...Please let me know if you have one!

We've found a line on an inexpensive car in Zanesville, which could literally change her life (enable more job prospects, help with childcare issues, etc), BUT the only time the owner can meet her for the transaction is on Monday and neither Wes or I can do it on that day.

surrogate grandma or good friend

HI! As the mother of twin girls with medical issues, I need a surrogate grandma or just a good friend.
I have wanted to ask for this for a long time, but just never got the nerve. After having spent most of the last 4 days on the couch with twin #2, I have reached a melting point. something has to give.
I moved here about 3 yrs ago from IL and have just never really found a good friend who i could count on for help. In the meantime, I have had medical issues myself then the twins. My husbands mom lives all the way in Ashville- about 35 min from me- and doesn't drive.
With the combo of my limitations and the girls medical issues and therapies (OT and PT), my house is a wreck!! no kidding!!
I need someone who can help me get things back in order, help me with the girls, and just be a good friend.
I have attended GCV for about a year now, but have not gotten to know anyone. I am unable to attend any homegroups because I usually do not have a car. My husband works 2 jobs, so i am here alot all day by myself with the girls. even so, we cannot afford to hire anyone to help me. sometimes, it is all I can do to get dressed and take care of them.

Nothing like Janell's favorite American Idol, I did want to share this exciting news... I've been nominated as a semi-finalist to receive an Origins Award for Best Game Support.

The nomination is for my orchestrated fantasy soundtrack: The Chronicles of Ramlar - Official Soundtrack (2007 Bailey Records).

I'm extremely proud of this soundtrack and very excited that it has been nominated for this award. This is my second nomination in this category. The first time around I lost to my good friends in Midnight Syndicate with their 13th Hour album (which is fantastic!). It's my hope that this year I take the category!

I have a pretty decent little kitchen table, but all my chairs were destroyed last winter after a water main break in the apartment I lived in. I'd just like some chairs to use at the table so we can have dinner at the table once again! :0)

I went to a workshop that gave me some great ideas to help boys play safer and express themselves, but I can not make it happen on my budget. HI if anyone has a set of twin beds or willing to help me find these for this family, I would be so grateful. They have 2 boys and 2 girls and 1 infant. The kids have to share rooms. And the 2 boys really needs beds in their room. Thiers are worn out and broke. This family is a very giving Family!! They have helped so much with the Baby Clothes Drive(cause they do have alot of children and hand me downs) They have donated way far more than I could have imagagine to the drive. They could have sold everything and got beds, but they wanted so much to help those needy little babies. And WOW did they! PLEASE HELP ME FIND THEM 2 TWIN BEDS, for haulin5,Please.

Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that our Clothing drive for the Westide Freestore officially ends this week! I know many of you have gathered lots of clothes and are storing them in your garage (like me!). This Friday, April 4th, we'll be meeting at the Grove City Vineyard at 6PM to sort, fold, and pack up the clothes. I need to know who's planning on coming to this party. Teresa is cooking, so we need to know how much food to buy, so either e-mail me, or comment on this post with a total of who in your household is coming. Everyone is welcome!

The following morning we'll meet at the church at 9:45, load up the clothes, and head out to the Freestore to deliver the clothes and help serve food. Matt and Cheralyn Corlett's home group is in charge of serving food that day, so we'll be coming alongside them to help. Please RSVP to me if you're coming on Saturday morning too.

That's all! Use this last week to gather all the last-minute clothing donations you can!

I am looking for the entire Bible on CD for my grandma she is 80 and has lost her sight do to diabetes. Last April her house caught on fire and she lost pretty much everything. She had the Bible on Cassette tape that she listened to but because of the fire doesn't have it any more. My Grandmother made a point to always read the Bible through every year until she lost her sight she did just that. After she lost her sight she went to tapes and listened to them everyday religiously. If you can help her please contact me. She is disabled now and can't get out to get church and I would like to see her get this so she can hear the Word of God she always read KJV so would prefer that Version.

Final Details on the March Clothing Drive

I've spoken to the folks at the Westside Freestore and they have communicated to me that baby clothes are a desperate item. Therfore, I'm proposing we gather clothes from the community with a special focus on baby clothes.

UPDATE:CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE CLOTHING DRIVE FLYER. Either print it, or right click and choose "Save file as..." to download to your computer.

Copy it (color or black and white) and hand it out to everyone you can to let them know about our project!

So here's how this is shaking out:

1. We'll spend the whole month of March gathering clothes for the Westside Freestore, with a special emphasis on baby clothes.

2. I'm asking everyone to individually do their best to spread the word to their freinds and neighbors all month long. Make room in your own garage to store clothes in the short term.

Hey all you Grove City Vineyard Twoshirts people, it's time for us to start thinking about another outreach. But instead of me telling you what we're going to do, I'd like to get as much input as possible from all of you. So, here's what I was thinking:

1. Let's do something that serves the poor in our area (greater Columbus). Twoshirts is all about making a difference for those who need it, so let's focus on that. It needn't be complicated or extensive. We can do something on our own, or partner with another organization.

2. As much as possible, I'd like the outreach to reflect the three Twoshirts values: Equality, Relationships, and Participation. If you're unfamiliar with these values, you can read about them at the about page.

3. I'd like to conduct this outreach before the end of March.

Winter Coats, Hats, & Gloves!

The Grove City Vineyard Twoshirts Group is conducting a winter coat, hat, and glove giveaway on December 22, at Wedgwood Village apartments on the westside of Columbus. There are tons of low-income families out there who could use warm clothes for the winter and we want to surprise them at Christmas time.

We need new adult and child sized winter hats, gloves, and scarves, and new OR gently used adult and child sized winter coats. Go through your closets and clean out those old winter coats and bring them by the Grove City Vineyard Church (3005 Holt Rd. Grove City, OH, 43123) Tuesday through Friday, December 18-21, from 9AM to 4PM.

Then, join us at the church Saturday, Dec 22, at 10AM and help us give the coats, hats, and gloves away!

Hey everyone, just a reminder that we'll be conducting a winter coat, hat, and glove drive for the residents of Wedgwood Apartments all through December. Gather all the gently used winter coats you can find - especially for children - and bring them to the Vineyard on Friday, December 21, at 7PM. We'll bag and tag everything that night and play some games while we're at it (remember, that night is Family Night, so bring your kids!).

The next morning, meet at the Vineyard at 10AM and we'll head out for the giveaway. Be sure not to miss this chance to have an impact on a group of folks who need your generosity!
