For those that wish to help others in need. Maybe once a month, maybe once in a while. It's all up to you. Any suggestions of projects we can work on together, or ideas of how to help are greatly appreciated. You can take part and remain anonymous, that is optional as well. If you have a favorite charity you would like to raise some funds for, or know of a local group that could use some help, or maybe a neighbor or friend that is going through a hard time. Whatever the need may be, we can make a difference. This is not for those wishing to post requests for help, there are other areas for that which we will be able to see. This is just for those that would like to take the opportunity to pay it forward, share ideas, and perhaps put together a fundraising/donation effort.

Aztecs for Africa

This group is specifically for SDSU students and it was made by the club Aztecs for Africa. We made this group because we have the opportunity to donate to people from all around the world at our doorstep. There is an organization called IRC that stands for International Rescue Committee, that has resettlement locations all across the United States, and one specifically in San Diego. We would like to take a month and donate as many items as we can through twoshirts, then at the end of the month, collect the items and take them to the IRC. Most of the refugee's come here with nothing but the clothes on their back. They desperately need all that we can give. So let's get on it!

Coupon Exchange Group

Do you clip coupons?

Maybe you find coupons on the internet that you print and use.

Either way they come in handy.

This group was designed to help everyone save a little money on their everyday needs.

Here is how it works:

1. Save your left over coupons.
2. In the group forum you can list the leftover coupons you have.
3. In the group forum you can list for the coupons you need.
4. If you find coupons on-line that can be printed out that someone needs let them know.
5. Clipped coupons will have to be mailed. My suggestion is to mail out coupons once a week on Mondays.
6. I hope to put together a fundraiser to help everyone pay for their postage.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

EcoPhones Fundraiser For Montrose Elementary

I am the President of the Montrose Elementary Fundraiser for EcoPhones. This program will be Green friendly, save these harmful items from being in the landfill and will help our children all at the same time.

Montrose is kicking off our First Ever Fundraiser this up coming Wednesday, Nov 5th, 2008 We partnered with a respected group called EcoPhones. More information on EcoPhones can be found here at their site www.ecophones.com

We will be reaching out to several local businesses to put out a collection box in their place of business. I am here asking for the support of TwoShirts.org as well.

Each business that involves itself in our efforts will get recognition in our schools newspapers A good avenue for PR.

I am asking anyone and everyone to come together to support my efforts in making this a success. For each cell phone, digital camera, ink jet cartridge, laptops WORKING OR NOT they will pay PER ITEM!! The more we collect, the more our children can benefit.

Every year, we wind up with unclaimed clothing, coats, etc. on our buses and in our classrooms. Most of it gets thrown out or given to a child whom we see is in need.
