Get Started in 3 Simple Steps!
Take Inventory of your stuff
Go through your house and garage and make a note of anything you don’t really need or use anymore. There are lots of folks in your community who really can use the extra things you might have. Also, take some time to ask yourself what you do need that you might not have. You can post your needs on twoshirts as well.
Sign up with twoshirts You need to sign up to participate. Don’t worry, it’s free and private. We won’t sell your e-mail address or anything like that. You'll choose your password and login during registration so you can start posting your items and needs fast, and being part of the twoshirts community is fun!
List your items and your needs From the my twoshirts or items sections of the site, you can access an "add items" menu item from which you can begin the listing process. You can write a description of the items, add details, and even upload a picture! When something you’ve posted is claimed by someone - or when you claim an item you need - you’ll receive an e-mail notification. Then, the two of you simply work out the details for delivery.
Item Posting
It would help if I had a working camera. I'll work on that one.
Also, I think that reply
Also, I think that reply subjects are needless. All they do is make me think of something witty or suffer the first 24 characters to be posted as the topic and then repeated in the message.
Plus we might want to change the settings so that you don't have to press "preview" before it lets you press "post". That'll probably just confuse the old folk.
Are you talking about the
Are you talking about the "subject" field in the reply form? If so, I agree they're not necessary, but every forum I'm on has them...I just ignore it, usually.
I agree the two steps to post is a bummer, but I like having the preview option. I think it would be best to be able to bypass it by having options side-by-side. I'll see what I can do about that.
Good comments, Drew, thanks!

Hey, I noticed that u posted a "need". How do u do that?
Posting a need
Mark,
There should be a "Post item you need" link in your My Twoshirts" menu to the right (it's only visible when you're logged-in).

that's interesting because I
that's interesting because I just joined and am in desparate need of a wheelchair but on my tool bar, all i can find about posting something is how to post something to give. am i just blinder than i thought?
If you've already posted
If you've already posted something to give then I don't know why you'd be having this problem. If you haven't posted something of your own to give then that's a step you have to take. We all have to offer first before we can ask. Even the addministrators(sp). (At least if I'm not mistaken - and I don't believe I am).
You don't have to post anything big to "give away". It can be as simple as a writting pen.:-) Then you can feel free to ask for a wheelchair.:-) BTW....If I had it - I'd give you one but fortunately, a wheelchair is not something we've ever had to use around my house.
If anyone else knows of one around this site - I know they'll be more than happy to help you out. Good luck - and welcome.:-)

well, i posted something to
well, i posted something to give, and someone is already requested to claim it, but i still can't seem to find where i can post a need. maybe it's just my own dumb luck. i don't know.
don't worry, i've been
don't worry, i've been trying to figure out how to post a need to and I've given items away and that category is not under my 'two shirts' menu either.
the other thing is yesterday i invited a bunch of folks and used a comma to separate the email addresses and then the screen said only 2 had been sent and only 1 shows up in my list.......
think they're just glitches....
Can't list what I need either
Jason, I posted something to give but on my toolbar it doesns't have the option to ask for something.
