It's early and I should STILL be in bed for a little while longer. However, I've got a LONG morning ahead of me with a longer day attached. I normally don't post a prayer need - don't know why but I don't. However, today my mom has some special "celebration" going on in honor of her being at her job for about 30yrs. There are other people being honored too but My my was a single my who raised my sister and me and MANY time went without herself.
The problem today? I pulled a back muscle a few days ago and it's not feeling any better. I can't even bend down in a "normal" way to tie my shoes. I'm in quite a bit of pain. I can usually handle it but today is my mom's special day and she wants to share it with me so I'm suppossed to be going with her. I just want to lay in bed on my heating pad. Could go to the doc but for a pulled muscle? What else are they going to tell me. Just pray that my back will behave long enough to share this day with my mom that she deserves to have so much.
Thanks,
Julie w

Ouch Julie! So sorry to hear that. We'll definitely be praying for you guys. I know what you mean about the doctor...I'm not very good abut going myself, but you should go if this persists.

I will say a prayer as soon as I have a quiet moment when I can concentrate. I certaintly hope your back holds off long enough to share the day with your mother. I will actually pray that it is better not just for today but everyday! Tell your mother Congratulations! What a great accomplishment.
Thanks guys. I thank you
Thanks guys. I thank you for your prayers.:-) It's had it's moments today. And on top of fibromyalgia? I think the pulled muscle won today. LOL! (interestingly enough, my "fibro" wasn't acting up today - Maybe God felt sorry enough for me and gave me a break. haha). The more walking I did the worse it felt but then my mom told me she has a deteriorating(sp) disc....I don't think I'm going to complain much now. We both have a high index of pain so we just kept trucking along.
I do have to tell you a funny story though. My mom works for Ohio Health. She's one of MANY who were being honored today. We went to the Aladins temple to have our lunch and to listen to some stories of some of the people who had been there a while. This one woman who had been with Ohio Health for 40 yrs. (I believe) told of one of her most memorable moments:
Apparently, one time - MANY moons ago - this woman was checking on a patent and apparently he was asleep and he MUST have been on some kind of medication for him to sleep so soundly because she was able to shave off his whole beard. She said she thought she was doing him a favor because the beard looked messy and stringy. Unfortunately for her AND the patent - she found out when he woke up that he was AMISH! She said she got in a lot of trouble for that but obviously was able to keep her job. We all laughed hysterically at that.:-)

LOL LOL LOL
Now that is funny! Poor guy, can you imagine what he must have thought?!? I'm glad you got thru the special day without too much pain.

I hope you can get ahold of him. If not they sell those instant heat pads. I don't know how well they would work for your back but they seem to help with my knee pain for a short while.
Yeah, I got a hold of her
Yeah, I got a hold of her but her scheduel was pretty booked so I was set up to see the Physicians assistant. worked out pretty good though....I have drugs now.:-) Pain is still quite there but at least now I can bend down to tie my shoes without yelling in pain. Yes....drugs are good!:-)

Thanks, I'm feeling *much* better now.:-) There's a little twinge here and there but I was able to stop taking the anti-inflamatories after only three (I still felt some pain but at least I could sleep on my own so - that help tremendusly). I didn't even have to touch the muscle relaxers.:-)
