For those in need of Christmas help

'Charity Newsies' may be able to lend some assistance. When I was 9yrs. old, my dad (who was one of THEE hardest working persons I've ever met and would take ANY job) had sufferd a heart attack. In fact - he almost died from it - but I digress. ANYWAY....my mother was working full time at the hospital and my dad became the "househusband". Mom's paycheck was just enough to cover the morgage, utilities and other needs. But not enough for Christmas. Long story short (and because I feel like crap with this stinking head cold I've had since last Thursday). Somehow - and I'll have to ask my mother again (remember I was only 9) Charity newsies found out about our situation and came through for us. They delivered so much needed food and a HUGE stuffed bear (If I'm recalling correctly - it was a stuffed "something" that my sister and I fought over). It was amazing and a great blessing to us all. I'm always VERY cautious about any organization I give to (as everyone should be) because you need to make sure they're "legit". But every year when Charity newsies roam the streets at stop lights weaving in and out of traffic for donations I ALWAYS roll down my window and give. They did so much for us and left such a huge impact on me as a 9 year old girl (I wish I could remember more details) that I'm more than happy to give what I can so they can continue to do what they do.

I hope that helps.
