I am coming to you all in a dire time of need. I am a single mom and I live out of state from my family. My sister passed away on Monday Sept 8th. I can give proof to verify this as true. I am desperate to get to my family. I need to get there ASAP the funeral will be on Saturday. I am trying to raise funds for greyhound tickets roundtrip for myself and children as I am without a car right now.
I need financial assistance to get there please help if you can. My sister was 32 and had a son. My nephew has already lost his father years ago and now, he lost his mom too. He is not doing well and I am the one he is closest to. PLEASE help us get to them if you can.
OMGosh! I'm so sorry to

Thank you both
Jason, I just sent an e-mail to your personal email.
My sister was 32 years old. She had gastric bypass years back when it was a 2 part procedure. She was never right after that. She has had a multitude of things wrong with her. Most recent for the last 2 months she was in constant pain. In and out of the ER at least once a week, Anemia, her heart valve was discovered to not function correctly, kidney problems she was slated to have dialysis done for her kidney. This last trip to the ER they discovered the reason for all the pain was her intestines were swollen and all twisted up. This is the surgery she had to correct that. My dad thinks they botched her gastric and her death is related to that...NOT A FOUNDED FACT!!!
Her body was so traumatized and weak from her conditions. She came out of surgery into ICU and it went downhill from there. They ended up putting her on total and complete life support. She remained with us on life support from 11PM Sunday until 3:15AM Monday. The doctors said she fought as much as she could and they did all they could and that this was the end. My nephew was in there holding her hand begging God not to take his mommy when she passed. The priest was an amazing support for them all especially my nephew.
My nephew is not coping with this well at all. He already went through his dad passing while he was young (years ago) and now has to face losing his mommy too :( While this is a huge blow to us all, I worry more for my father as he is in poor health himself and never fully got over burrying my other sister (years back) and now has to bury another child. Then next is my nephew who lost so much. I am the next closest to him as he has problems expressing himself and I "get him" (much like me he is)
I am trying to find help getting there to them. I am here in Columbus, Ohio. My father lives in New Jersey and the services will be held in Staten Island, New York (where we were born and raised) The services are set for Saturday afternoon (Sept 13th) so I am desperate and running out of time and I NEED to be there :( :(
I tried to get assistance
calling 211 First Link
they said unfortunately, there is nothing set up to help in situations like this. They had no suggestions on where else I could turn and ask for help.
If anyone knows of an agency, organization, church ANYTHING that can help me get to my family would you PLEASE PLEASE let me know.
Time is working against me and I am growing more and more desperate as time ticks. The services are planned for Saturday, so I have to leave here soon to be there in time.
Flying is also an option not sure which was would be cheapest. I know flying will be quickest as the bus ride is 16 hours or more each way and with the kids, that is a lot for them :(
Maybe someone knows someone who works at an airline and can get a deep discount, frequent flier miles that can be used towards 3 round trip tickets. Anything, any help is appreciated and much needed.
