Is any place helping with back to school supplies?
August 18, 2008 - 7:43pm — columbusgalCan someone tell me if there is any place helping with back to school supplies and clothing for school?
I am a single mom and live day to day, with the economy the way it is along with my limited income, I am unable to prepare for school this coming week.
I am a nervous wreck trying to get this all taken care of before they begin school next week. I have asked the few friends and family members I am in touch with for help, however they were unable to assist.
Please email me if you are aware of any place that can/may help out with this back to school quest

Well, there is the "west side free store". How old are your kids if you don't mind me asking? And what grades are they going into?

Looked on here, I have sent emails to the school supply posters on this site but have yet to hear back from anyone. Prehaps they have been claimed already or the users have not had a chance to check emails yet....not sure but yes, I have contacted our fellow twoshirts members who offered them

Charity Newsies
Charity Newsies provides back to school clothes for kids. They will start taking applications beginning Sept. 2nd. The two times I took my kids, they got EVERYTHING, including warm coats, mittens, scarves, hats, jeans, underwear, tshirts, socks, a pari of shoes, and a backpack.

I appreciate your postings. I will look into them, hoping I am able to get to at least one of them. No car makes it a bit tricky but, if need be we would walk if no bus was close. I would do anything to be sure they have what they need.
