On Sept 1st `07 a long-time friend of mine decided to open a games and comic book shop up in Dublin. He offered me a part-time job working Mondays as a means of regularly getting out of the house and a "break" from watching my daughters / working from home. I'm a "social creature" so it is a fun environment and even a few teens from the youth group at the Vineyard play weekly there. Unfortunately, mostly due to (in my opinion) bad management the doors will be closing July 1st - 2 months shy of a 1st anniversary. This is a big bummer. While I don't need the $$ for anything other than having a little extra in the wallet, it is the end of yet another regular social outlet for me and most likely yet another separation and loss of friends as the one driving means to our relationship was the store and the games played there. Everything has its season.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this other than an expression of disappointment and a bit of sadness.
Thanks for letting me share.

Sorry to heare the the store is going out of business. While I have never been there, I know that it is something that you have enjoyed.

Brian,
I know how you feel. When my old boss closed after working for him for 8 years I was so disappointed. Maybe when things slow down for us we can all get together at Nora's once a week.
