Yes, it was (but it was good to see *you* again). However, one thing to correct you on....we do not say "goodbye" (sometimes - like now - that's my personal rule), we say, "See ya later".:-)

What a BitterSweet moment

It was truly a nice service, event or whatever you want to call it.

One thing about it, we never have to say Good-Bye, as believers we can say, we will see you here, there or in the air.....

God has and will continue to use the Coker Family to touch lives all across the world.

As I get more and more involved in doing Ministry work, trying to assist those dealing with the reality of Poverty, God has given me a vision.

Sprining up from our Home Group is SOS Ministries (Shadow of our Steeple) and we are praying through what God will do with this, however, in prayer this morning he gave me another piece of the puzzle. You see, we are moving into Jason and Jenells, house and as we were praying about it, we have always referred to it (as has our HG), as The Coker House and I have told Jason and Jenell that it will always be "The Coker House", so this morning God said there will be a Coker House, someplace in the metro area that you will run a minsitry out of, either a Food Pantry or a mission to the Homeless. Now I know Jason and Jenell are humble people and when they may read this before I tell them (Sorry guys)they are going to think I'm off my rocker, and I maybe but God isn't, so the work they have started here will continue.
(Just got to figure out what God is going to do).

Dude, you ARE off your rocker...

...but we must be on the same wavelength because our vision for a church in San Diego is really a vision for a community of people who don't have a traditional church building, but have a community center instead...which, sounds alot like what you're describing.

You're a good man Tom, and you and your family will be used by God to bring compassion, relief, and justice to this place.

Kathy, it's an honor to have gained your friendship as well as Teresa's and the whole family. We'll be on this site non-stop, so there's no need for goodbye's.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind words.

Off my Rocker

You are correct. I'm off my Rocker for God. Ha Ha.

Things are very slow today at work (usually are on Monday) and I've just been doing some praying and brain storming.

We are on the same wavelength (scary), A Community Center is exactly what I'm feeling. A place that people could come and have their needs met. Maybe a food pantry in it, with perhaps a small clinic, a small chapel. A desk that has information on where people can get further assistance (there is a homeless girl we've been working with that is expecting triplets).

There is just endless possibilites.

Well, considering God works

Well, considering God works in ways that goes against the grain of *any* society, I've thought for years now that being "off your rocker" was pretty much the "norm" in Christianity. So much so that it's almost a requirment.:-)

I'm gonna miss you guys...

My biggest regret is life is never getting to know people well enough. For one reason or another. We're all blessed to have known the Cokers and fortunately we have this community to be able to keep in touch with them. Take care guys and God bless!
