He everyone,
We need volunteers for the Freestore THIS WEEKEND! Here are the details:

2. Help cook and serve a meal from 10AM-1PM.
3. Meet and greet all kinds of amazing people from the West side of Columbus!
4. Cleanup.
5. Actually, that's it. No number five.
If you don't know anything about the Freestore you can read about it by clicking here.
Please respond to this topic by Thursday, June 3, with your name and the name of anybody coming with you so I know who to expect.
Thanks!

Hey Jason
I would love to come out and help just need to ask two questions first...if both answers are yes, count me in!!!
1. Is the FreeStore located on a bus route? (no car)
2. Would my children be premitted to join and help out as well?
Like I said, if we can get there and I can bring my girls with me, I would be honored to come out and help out a bit.
I tried looking up the address to the FreeStore, I found it but can not for the life of me find busing info or even the cross street it is at. Like Sullivant and Central...I know it is not there, just an example.
Free Store and Bus Route
Yes, the Free Store is located on a bus route.
It's on Sullivant Ave. Between Hague Ave and Westgate.
There is a Wendy's across the street.
We've taken our children before and some coloring books etc, as there are usually children there with those being assisted by the Free Store.
Tom
Yes, and yes
The Freestore has a bus stop directly in front of the building, so that's not an issue. They're at 3030 Sullivant Avenue, between Hague and Demorest. Click here to go to the website.
Also, you can bring your kids if they're old enough to help out in some small way. My girls have served there with me as young as 6 years old. I just give them a job and keep them close by.

sorry
I am so sorry I did not make it. Yesterday was a terrible day. My daughter ended up in the Emergency Room. She was overheated and dehydrated. Still not feeling well today.
I had every intention on even still coming however, we missed the bus and then she began throwing up today. So, we just stayed home.
Again, I am sorry. I wish I had a way to call and let you know. I do hope it was a success and that a lot of people came out and volunteered their time.
Enjoy the weekend everyone
Wow, is she okay?
Wow, is she okay? Don't worry about not making it. That sounds like an awful day. I hope she's recovering well.

Yes, she is doing better this afternoon thankfully
What happened was it was so hot and humid yesterday..we moved into a place with no circulation and no air conditioners not even window units. My windows are sliding/casement windows and I have been looking for casement air conditioners or even portable units with no luck. Simply can not afford them.
She has bronchitis and asthma and that kind of heat and humidity yesterday really hits her hard. She was a trooper playing her heart out..she relaxed but not enough. It was too much for her little body to take!
So basically when it is 90 degrees outdoors, inside here it is over 100 degrees. I am trying to find one or two units at least for the living room and the kids room but not finding anything within our budget..problem is not much of a budget to work with.
It will be alright though this too shall pass. She is doing a lot better today we have just been home relaxing watching movies. I have our two fans in their room. I am not worried about me...I can suffer no worries. Just need to make sure they are OK especially her.
Thanks for asking
Oh man....poor kid! I'm
Oh man....poor kid! I'm glad she's doing better as well. I'll be sure to lift her up in prayer tonight (or earlier).
