Yeah - I've got plenty of clothes to give away (just a matter of finding more time to go through the bags). Unfortunatley, I'm afraid - from my *own* personal things - I don't have any furnature that I can spare. Some actually needs replacing and cleaned! Argh!:-D
I will ask around however, when you say furniture do you mean what we actually THINK of normally? Couch, chairs, tables, floor shelves, etc.? Or do you also mean - storage "units" (bends), wall shelves, clothes hampers and drying racks, ect....?

Thank you Julie for looking at the website for our biggest needs that we have! Any effort that you make to help us to gather furniture for the families we have on our list of needs would be great! Already this year we have added 191 families to our list who have needs! Our biggest needs that we have are beds and dressers, large appliances, and cribs. These items seem to be the hardest for us to fulfill at this time. Thank you again and God bless you!
And, as far as clothes go-WE take them to the Westside Freestore
The featured organization from last month gets all of our clothes and household goods, and we suggest to our clients they visit there for those requests!

I am spreading the word around for you and asking anyone who has anything to donate to your cause! I wanted to know, is there anything you do NOT take??? Also, if I or someone I know is unable to get the items to you personally, can you arrange for them (items) to be picked up???

Thank you for your willingness to support CNDL4JC Furniture Ministry! Items that we do not take are unfunctioning furniture! We will not take people's trash--I have to say it that way because sometimes people offer us just that and we have to determine how to get rid of it! We want to supply our families with things that you would use in your own home. On that same note, we do not turn away items because it has a tear or something small that is unnoticable. For example, if someone has a couch and there is a rip in the back, we will most likely take it--however, if it is broken down, we don't want it ;)
We have a HUGE need for baby items, which we do not get a lot of! So, that is a new need, and we are getting a lot of requests!

The furniture drive came and went....and we were able to take furniture to at least 8 families thanks to your help and support in this community event! It was nice to meet you Norret and Kitkat...thank you for your donations!

We will be working to do a furniture drive in Athens, Ohio at the end of the month at OU. So, if anyone is looking for some awesome work to do for the day...we could use your help! Also, we may do another furniture drive June 21st at GCHS. Will let you know if that pans out.
Our goal for the month of April was to take 100 families off of our list of needs--we ended the month with 85 I believe!! Don't we serve an awesome God??!!
And yes....I am TRULY blessed to be a part of watching God use us to fulfill His plan!
