Weekly Wrap Up: Showing the Love

It was a fun week for the growing Twoshirts community. One of the things I love about this group is that you're not just all about interacting online. You're the kind of people who care about each other and your communities, and you showed that this week in a number of ways by getting together and showing how much you care.

  • The Grove City Vineyard Group had a meet up at Nora's Cafe on Wednesday night, and it was a blast! I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone and putting faces to some of the user names I see around here all the time. It sounds like we're going to make this a monthly gathering, so if you're in the Grove City area, feel free to join our group and come on by.
  • I had the privilege of meeting up with John Parran on Friday in Cincinnati. I was delivering a couple of book that he'd claimed and he went to the trouble of buying me lunch! I really appreciated his hospitality, and loved talking with him and getting to know more about his family. John and his wife are expecting their first baby soon, so shoot them a congrats if you get a chance.
  • Building caring relationships with other people is really what Twoshirts is all about, and this conversation over in the forums really captured the essence of that this week. Head on over there and check out some of the amazing comments made by your fellow members. You won't be sorry.
  • And if you think that was cool, you won't believe what happened here. If you aren't a part of this effort, you'll be blown away by what your fellow members have taken the initiative to do for someone else. Check out columbusgal's reaction. Priceless.
  • Likewise, the discussion developing around The Story of Stuff has been fun and stimulating. Click here to check out the latest installment, and leave your comments if you haven't already.
  • Don't forget about our clothing drive for the Westside Freestore. This week we added a flyer you can download and print to spread the word, and Saturday a few of us hit local Grove City neighborhoods to get the word out.
  • What a great week...keep up the good work everyone!

    Regards,
    Jason

Click on the 21 and you'll see who they are. Or, when you're viewing the group page, look in the right hand sidebar and scroll down and you'll see a summary of the group. Click "21 subscribers" and you'll be taken to a list of them.
